Ali Bagherkhani

Biography

     Dr. Ali Bagherkhani received his Ph.D. in Earthquake Engineering from Shiraz University of Technology in March 2021. His doctoral thesis focused on the reliability assessment of magneto-rheological fluid dampers in seismic response control of structures. Before that, he had conducted his M.Sc. research on the optimal design and identification of factors affecting the performance of MR dampers in civil structures. In September 2024, he began his role as an Assistant Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at Razi University; since then, he has been teaching specialized courses in Civil Engineering at the undergraduate and graduate (Master's and Doctoral) levels. His research interests include, but are not limited to, seismic design of civil structures, smart structures with modern control systems, optimal design of structures and their control systems, application of optimization techniques in civil engineering, reliability analysis, structural health monitoring and damage detection, as well as topics related to earthquake engineering and structural dynamics.
